SCHOLARSHIPS FOR CONTINUING EDUCATION
AFTER HIGH SCHOOL

SCHOLARSHIP PARAMETERS

Daisy Mountain Veterans intends to award up to Five (5) $1,000 scholarships to qualified applicants. Qualified applicants will be determined by a panel of Daisy Mountain Veterans members based on all the applications received
on or before April 30 of each year.

In the event there are more than five (5) applications received in any one year, the panel will, in its sole discretion, determine the most qualified five (5) applicants for the scholarships. 

The awardees will receive their scholarship in the form of a check by May 31 of that year.

SCHOLARSHIP DESCRIPTION

The Objective of the Daisy Mountain Veterans Scholarship is to give deserving young people the financial means to continue their education.  This non-renewable scholarship is awarded to high school seniors attending the North Phoenix Public Schools, Private Schools listed below, or who were Homeschooled, or are an Anthem, AZ resident attending a different school.

SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS

  1. Be the child or grandchild of United States Military active-duty personnel or veterans. Proof of military service is required.
  2. A 2.5 cumulative Grade Point Average from one of the schools specified, verifiable by school transcript (or by parent affidavit in the case of those who were homeschooled) who is currently in their senior (final) year of High School.
  3. Selection of recipients is based on overall Financial need, Student Achievements and Successes. Students must be planning to attend an accredited college, university, trade, vocational, or technical school.
  4. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  5. Scholarships are awarded based on the applicant’s financial need *, academic achievement and contribution to the community. In addition to affirmation of the applicant’s academic achievement and contribution to the community.
    *(When requested, a parent affirmation of total household income will be required).
  6. Scholarship is a one-time award and is nonrenewable

Application form must be completed and returned by April 30th of the current year.

The above schools were chosen because these scholarships are the result of funds raised in the Anthem, AZ and immediately surrounding area.
These scholarships are also available to Anthem, AZ residents who attend an accredited school not on the above list.
*For those who were homeschooled, they must live within five (5) miles of Anthem, AZ.
