Rules of Participation

• The Daisy Mountain Veterans Parade is an apolitical, 501(c)(3) not for profit organization.
• It is the policy of the Daisy Mountain Veterans to not allow political organizations of any kind to participate in the DMV Parade. This includes, but is not limited to political organizations, political candidates and campaigns, political action committees, politically-affiliated groups, and/or any other entity not expressly entering the parade for the sole purpose of celebrating our Veterans.
• Current candidates in office are encouraged to participate. However, you MUST have a red, white and blue “Patriotic” theme celebrating veterans from our armed forces.
• Entries may not pass out, hand out, or otherwise distribute any pamphlet, card, political literature, or other paraphernalia that supports, condemns or otherwise mentions a political agenda.
• Entries MUST have a red, white and blue “Patriotic” theme celebrating veterans from our armed forces.
• The Daisy Mountain Veterans reserves the right to assess each entry based on the above criteria and deny participation if in violation.
• Entries must maintain continuous forward motion at all time.
• All participants under the age of eight (8) are strongly encouraged to ride on/in a motorized vehicle.
• Description of entry must be completed in space above for acceptance.

Release of Claims

I am submitting this form on my own behalf or on behalf of the named organization, in which case I represent that I have authority to complete this entry form on its behalf. I assume all risks associated with participating in this event. These risks include, but are not limited to, injuries caused by animals, terrain, weather, lack of hydration, and actions of participants, volunteers, spectators, or producers of this event. I assume the risks of participating in the Daisy Mountain Veterans Parade. I take action for myself, my executors, administrators, heirs and next of kin, successors and assigns as follows:

(a) I release and discharge the following organizations from any and all liability, claims, causes of action and demands, including personal injury claims, arising out of my participation in this event or my traveling to or from this event: Daisy Mountain Veterans; American Legion; American Legion Daisy Mountain Post 128; Veterans of Foreign Wars; Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 12031; American Legion Auxiliary - Unit 128, Anthem Community Council, Inc.; and all members, employees, and volunteers of these organizations or this event; and

(b) I shall indemnify and hold harmless the persons or entities mentioned in this paragraph from any other activities connected with it in which I may participate. I also give full permission for use of my name and photograph in connection with this event.
